How to deal with Stress & Burnout
Most of us have days where we feel a bit overloaded, unmotivated, and exhausted, but if you feel like this most, or all the time, you might be burned out. Learning how to actively manage your stress levels is important to prevent burnout and preserve your personal wellbeing.
Here are some techniques that you could use to help manage stress and burnout:
Plan-ahead and split up big tasks into smaller ones to prevent overwhelm – give yourself credit for completing each little goal.
Practise mindful or relaxation exercises.
Make time for positivity – try reflecting on what you are thankful for at the end of a day, you might find a gratitude journal helps.
Take time to relax and make time for things you enjoy – this is just as important as your other responsibilities!
Prioritise self-care and wellbeing – eat a healthy diet, getting plenty of exercise, and engaging in healthy sleep habits.
Talk to someone – speak to your boss, a friend or family member about how you are feeling and reach out to them for support.
