Supporting Young People Who Self Harm
This introductory workshop is for organisations or individuals working with young people who self-harm. This session will include a structure for understanding these behaviours, how to talk to a young person about self-harm and suicide. As well as some effective strategies that can be used for managing self-harming behaviours.
This workshop runs from 1:00pm – 2:00pm
This workshop will be delivered by Rebecca Kinnear, Service Manager and Clinical Lead (Adult and Child and Young People’s Services), Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and Supervisor.
Rebecca works with adults, children and young people and specialise in working with people who are experiencing anxiety and/or low mood including social anxiety, OCD, phobias, depression and PTSD, amongst many other difficulties. Rebecca has a range of experience having previously worked as a multi-systemic therapist for parents and families, a lecturer in supervision and a specialist mental health practitioner within the NHS since 2010.
