My Expertise

I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist, working with people struggling with a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, loss, relationship issues, compulsive thoughts or behaviours and trauma, as well as diagnosed mental health issues.

My Qualifications

Intercultural Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Tavistock & Portman NHS Trust.
Masters in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Essex University.
Registered member of The Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists and the British Psychoanalytic Council.

Why I became a therapist

I have always been interested in the impact of both conscious and unconscious emotional experience on our thoughts and feelings about ourselves and others.

Working from a psychodynamic approach, I appreciate the value of curiosity about our internal world. I recognise that increased self-awareness is a painful process at times, but that it can allow us to feel more pleasure in life, to make choices, to grow and develop and to enjoy better relationships.

What I enjoy most about my work

I very much enjoy working as part of a multi-modal team at The Retreat Clinics, where a range of therapeutic approaches are valued and where we can tailor therapy to meet each client’s needs.
