I am trained in Art Psychotherapy. I take a trauma informed and person-centred approach. I have an experience of working with adolescents, young people, adults. As an art therapist, I am passionate about using creativity and art making to facilitate communication and understanding in a way that will words alone cannot always do.
MA in Art Psychotherapy in Practise
Why I became a therapist
Following completing my undergrad degree, my self and a friend set up a studio practise doing arts & craft workshops with the local community. Whilst running these workshops, we received a lot of feedback of how this helped people with their mental health. At the same time, I became intrigued to the different ways in which people were using the art materials and what was happening for them. So, I went and studied art psychotherapy!
My interests outside of work
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends either enjoying the variety of foods a city has to offer or doing some outdoor activity in the countryside.
