The Retreat York are recruiting a part-time Speech & Language Therapist to work in our Children’s and Young People Service. You will be providing assessments, diagnosis, and therapy services, undertaking the screening of referrals and recommendations for treatment models as part of an MDT. You will have attained appropriate post-graduate qualifications i.e., Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule; training and experience in implementing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) methods (aided and unaided); specific approaches or interventions relevant to social communication and autism, such as: SCERTS, Hanen, Attention Autism, PECS. You will also hold accreditation with an appropriate professional body.

Remuneration and benefits

  • Salary £40,000 £45,000 (FTE) dependent on skills & experience
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rata part-time)
