An unfriendly environment can have a profound effect on autistic people. From the bright lights in supermarkets to the confusing signage in some healthcare settings the environment can cause distress , lack of access and even shutdown. This workshop explores how to create friendlier places . Using the updated 2024 version of the Checklist for Autism Friendly Environments you can start to consider some of the small changes that could make a big difference to the lives of neurodivergent / autistic people. There will be time for some discussion and individualised bespoke training will be available in 2025 on request.

This workshop runs for 90 minutes.
