My Expertise
I am an Integrative Relational Based Therapist specialising in adolescent mental health. I offer many ways of working including creative methods. I have ten years’ experience working as a high school Counsellor (11-18 years) and more recently 5-11 years old covering a range of complex issues. I have in my career also worked with young adults aged 18-25 years.
I specialise in trauma, attachment disorders and mental health issues. I work with the many areas they can affect a young persons life, including anxiety, low mood, school avoidance, anger management, relationship issues and self-harm.
My Qualifications
BA (Hons) Counselling Studies
Level 6 Diploma- Psychotherapeutic Counsellor of Children and Young People (UKCP Accredited)
Level 7 Child Psychotherapy; I have completed all training and now working towards final assessment
What I enjoy most about my work
School, College and University years can be the most challenging time adding also the modern pressures that young people now face, I wanted to support, empower and help a young person thrive rather than just survive these years.
It is an honour to work with a young person on this journey, and they teach me something new everyday.
My interests outside of work
I love reading, walking my two dogs in nature and seeing friends who make me laugh so hard my stomach hurts! I also love spending time with my own children.
