What I enjoy most about my work

I am passionate about children and young people’s mental health, preventing ill health and supporting people to live their best lives whilst reducing health inequality.

I have been a service manager for a number of years, previously working for local authority. I am an enthusiastic and democratic leader and relish opportunities where I can foster team camaraderie, support and well-being.

Whether with a client or team member, my nursing background has reinforced my innate ability to listen, empathise and foster people’s strengths through affirmation, warmth and reinforcement of one’s own capabilities.

My interests outside of work

I love being in the outdoors with my dogs as it’s my perfect way to unwind and maintain an active and healthy lifestyle. I have a daughter who I spend a lot of my free time with, and she keeps me feeling young and invigorated!
